Interview
Diego GrezWhere are you living right now?
Modèle:WNI responseWe are in a court with tents that the militaries gave to us.
DGHow many people is still living there?
Modèle:WNI responseThere are 22 families [over the court], and over the plum trees, there are another 22. In addition to the ones that are living on the school, and some that live [over there].
DGHow many have lost their home?
Modèle:WNI response[Apparently] 365. I have a big sadness.
DGWhat is gonna happen to the departments?
Modèle:WNI response[I'm not sure.] The most awful thing is that they are not demolished yet. You feel more sad looking your home, destroyed, and to have to live in the court, it's terrible.
DGHas the Mayor, Mr. Héctor Valenzuela helped you?
Modèle:WNI responseNo. He hasn't helped us. Many rats come out from that fountain. Some days ago, a guy told him about it. He laughed and said: "I'll see if I can help [you] later." [You] can see how the water has expanded through all the street. Valenzuela said that the departments have to be demolished before they can give us provisory homes (mediaguas).
DGThanks for your time and I hope you can get your home back soon.
Modèle:WNI responseThank you for this interview to let the world know what's happening to the common people, to the poor people. Thanks again.
